The Tenor began his studies with the M. Maria Noè Negrelli. Later, he continued with the baritone Lino Puglisi and with the great tenor Franco Corelli. In order to enhance his undoubtable natural inclination for acting, Massimiliano Drapello studied for three years with the reknown acting method proper of the “Actor Studios of New York” with the M.Ilza Prestinari. After a successful sportive carrier of swimming, tennis and boxing, he began to study opera, immediately proving his incredible talent for singing. His tone of voice is absolutely unique as a lyric dramatic tenor, in fact, in his first Opera, he successfully played the very difficult role of Pollione, in the Norma opera of Bellini. Later he played the role of Loris in the Fedora Opera of Giordano, accompanying the very famous soprano Katia Ricciarelli, with whom he is still collaborating. He played the same role at the Carlo Felice Theater in Genoa, in a production where the protagonist was the great soprano Mirella Freni. In the year 2000, he debuted with the role of Don Josè, in the Carmen Opera of Bizet,next to the mezzosoprano Sarah Mpunga and Bruna Baglioni under the direction of Beppe De Tommasi, which was the beginning of his international career, like, Canada, Australia and several other theaters around the world.

In 2001 he performed during the celebration of the Jubileum, transmitted worldwide, next to Pope John Paul II. In the same year he was invited from the famous tenor and artistic director of the Washington DC opera house, Placido Domingo, in Tosca opera production.

His career dramatically sprang forward in 2003 when he performed in two concerts at the Opera theater of Rome, and later, in 2004 was engaged for the title role of the opening night of the season with an important production of Marie Victoire of Respighi, conducted by maestro G.Gelmetti and under the director of U.De Ana.After this performance, the tenor, was engaged in several other operas like NABUCCO, ATTILA, TOSCA and SAKUNTALA in the same Opera Theater of Rome.

The last three years of his career also saw him protagonist of the Oniro Company, whose intent is to promote the Operetta throught Italy. The combined efforts of this very courageous company, and of the tenor Massimiliano Drapello keeps harvesting an unexpected success from a very enthusiastic public.

Massimiliano Drapello’s vocal versatility, called (THE VOICE OF PASSION) allows him to be extremely successful in a broad repertoire of Pop Opera. His CD NANU’ witnesses his unique ability to elegantly pass from a very lyrical type of voice to a pop method that stands out for its richness and fullness, that brought him to share this repertoire with the U S audience, where he performed this years.
The tenor carries out a very intense activity thoughout the world with a broad repertoire that expands from the Lyric Opera to Lieder and the Neapolitan songs.

With this huge repertoire he is frequently invited to perform in many countries around the world.
